As part of Moving Arts' 2002 Premiere One-Act Festival, Julie Briggs directed Busted Jesus Comix by David Johnston. The play is both funny and intense, and requires an exceptional director to realize its full potential. Julie is just that director, and she very much succeeded.

There is a crucial moment in the play, where the tone shifts dramatically, and we see the central character in a different light. For the five pages of dialog preceding that moment, Julie had all the characters deliver their lines as fast as possible, and under it, wanted music that would build, in both tempo and volume as the voices keep coming faster and faster.
